ASUS' Zenbo robot walks, talks and controls your home

Zenbo the $599 robot is cute enough, but will it do enough? Mat Smith@thatmatsmith  in Robot
ASUS chairman Jonney Shih took to stage to announce something a little different, if completely on trend: a home robot. "Our ambition is to enable robotic computing for every household," he said before revealing ZenBo the home robot. With the goals of "assistance, entertainment and companionship," it's particularly aimed at older people. However, the most interesting feature here is the promise that the robot will connect with traditional and smart home devices: you'll be able to check who's at the door from a connected camera, and then remote-unlock the door from the robot's, er, face. Zenbo will be able to connect to lights, TVs, air conditioners --

13 Time Management Hacks Every Girl Needs in Her Life

The saying 'time is money' stands true for how we live today. And especially for the modern go-getter girl for whom time is a piece of luxury. If you are having trouble with managing your time, here are some time management hacks that'll sort your life. Trust me when I say this, every girl needs these to be the supergirl that she is. 1. Focus on one thing at a time. Ever been in a situation where having your hands full leads you into more chaos? Well, multitasking is good but if you want to manage your time we'll make sure to finish one thing at a time and do it properly so you don't need to come back to it at all. 2. Prioritise your tasks. Make a list of all the tasks that need immediate attention so that you can be done with them as soon as possible and you are not chasing any crazy deadlines that can build the pressure. 3. Keep the braindead tasks for later. To give each task your best sort them in a way that you do all the tasks that need your mind to work in you…

Dashik Gubanova is Russia's real-life Rapunzel! Having grown her locks for the past 13 years, Gubanova has stated she has not plans to cut her hair (for wigs or otherwise) for the next 14 years! Who plans on growing their hair for 17 years exactly?! Gubanova also has a very active Instagram account where she posts videos of playing with her incredibly long locks.
Her account boasts over 141,000 followers, and continues to grow much like her incredibly long hair.

I am positive there are a hundred million posts on the internet telling you how to start a blog. I’m pretty sure if you Google them you’ll probably find a more comprehensive to-do list for newbie bloggers on how to go about it. However, I get approximately fourteen emails a week from readers asking me for advice on how to start a blog so I thought I’d write a post in case you’re curious. Here are my opinions (for better or worse) on what I’ve learned after running a blog

1. Get a Blog – Some people (we’ll call them fancy) decide to start a blog and they get to hire a design firm and be all official. Most bloggers, myself included, start with a site like Blogger. Blogger is a platform for blogging that walks you through the process, shows you how to set up your page and then let’s you have at it. It’s a great place to start to see if you actually even like blogging in the first place.

2. Get a Plan – What is your blog about? If the answer is “my life” that’s probably not a good enough pl…

Orange is the New Black's Season 4 Trailer Is Here, and We Can't Wait

Welcome back to Litchfield.

The best part of the year is binge-watching Orange is the New Black every summer. As we draw closer and closer to that June 17th release date, the anticipation grows and grows, but at least now we have a real, full trailer to get us even more amped up. A criticism of season three for some was that the show focused more on the backstories of minor characters rather than an overarching plot. While it's obvious that this show no longer belongs to Piper Chapman like it did in season one, it seems her ruthless choices last season a part of what helps propel a larger plot of unrest in the prison in season four. But a lot of our minor characters are given emotional (if utterly without context) trailer time, giving us hope that this new season blends the best elements of all three past seasons. There are still no signs of several characters whose fates were up in the air by the end of season three, so I guess we'll just have to wait until June to see what h…

So, for all you fans out there, here are some facts you probably didn’t know. 1. Okay, let’s start with this. If only we know what he’d grow up to be! © Warner Bros.2.Hafthór Júlíus Björnsson who plays The Mountain is the world’s third strongest man. Must have been hard not actually crushing Pedro Pascal’s (Oberyn Martell) skull. © HBO 3.Remember Lady? Sansa’s direwolf? Well, Sophie Turner (Sansa) adopted him in real life! Probably the only good decision Sansa’s ever made. © Facebook 4. Martin has already told the writers of the show, David Benioff and W.B. Weiss how he wants the show to end, just in case he doesn’t survive till the books are complete! So, don’t worry guys! The show’s gonna be on. (So going to hell for this!) © Facebook5.Rem…

Woman Steals Food, Officer Buys Her Groceries Rather than Arresting Her

Have a heartwarming story for your Wednesday afternoon.

Helen Johnson was having a hard week. The $120 disability check belonging to her daughter and which supported herself, her two daugthers, niece and two grandchildren had not shown up in the mail. Her own check would not arrive until much, much later. The family had gone two days without food before Helen scrounged together $1.25 to buy some eggs from the local dollar store. However, Helen was short .50 cents in taxes and out of frustration and hunger stuffed five eggs into her jacket pocket. A store worker approached her and told her the police had been called. Before she even got to the door, Tarrant Police Officer William Stacy detained her and placed her into his squad car. A few minutes later he returned with a carton of eggs and gave it to Johnson. He made her promise to never shoplift again, gave her the eggs and took her home. Johnson was filled with relief and gratitude. She even tried to give Officer Stacy the $1.25 she …
